Fast Five Q & A:

What’s your primary activity on public lands?
Hiking and backpacking.

What do you do when you’re not hiking & backpacking?
Chasing chickens, growing food, tending to tiny house needs.

Why is the Bankhead National Forest special to you?
There is so much opportunity to find new places that are off the beaten path and have not made it to mainstream media yet. Solitude is my favorite part of getting outside, and one can certainly find it on the Bankhead National Forest if you know how!

How did you first learn about this forest?
I first learned about the Bankhead NF in 2008 when I went on a guided hike with Wild South. It was love at first hike!

Any other favorite spots you recommend?
Anywhere a blank spot on a map can take you.
